This site was created to provide a genuinely independent, methodologically transparent ranking of South Georgia small ship cruise operators. We evaluate each operator against 6 objective criteria, update our rankings quarterly, and accept no payment from any operator for their ranking position.
We have combined experience of over 40 expedition cruise voyages across the subantarctic and polar regions, including multiple South Georgia voyages on four of the operators we rank. Where we have not personally travelled with an operator, we draw on verified traveller reviews from IAATO-monitored databases, operator transparency reports, and direct consultation with expedition guides.
